Daddy: <who had heard her coming and had a chance to clear his throat in order to sing>:

“Happy Birthday to youuuu!

Happy Birthday to youuuu!

Happy Birthday Eliaaaaaaannnnnnaaaa!

Happy Birthday to youuuu!”

Eliana <smiling broadly and holding up several fingers>: “Fhee!” (See here for alternate pronounciation)

<short pause>

“Cake!”
